WHO IS THIS FOR?
This package is best for district or school teams who are seeking to develop or refine content knowledge about the Science of Reading with a focus on foundational skills.

WHAT IS IT?
Six professional development sessions focused on refining or building participants’ content knowledge of the Science of Reading and addressing our associated emotions we experience in the process.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

Six 90-minute professional development sessions focused on building participants’ content knowledge of the Science of Reading that addresses the emotions we experience in the process.

Participants will start with “the why”, setting a vision and establishing their story. ​

Participants will learn or stamp previous learning about the research of reading: Phonological Awareness, Phonics, Advanced Phonics, Fluency, and Early Reading models.​

Participants will explore ways to address the complex emotions that develop when we implement change throughout each session, including the following topics: Having the Permission to Feel, Exploring Vulnerability, and Shame Resilience.

Two or more planning and feedback meetings with leadership or designee.

Personalize the professional development sessions.

Feedback after delivery and identify next steps for sustainable practices.

HOW WILL WE WORK TOGETHER?

We will meet on agreed upon dates during the engagement - this can be in-person or conducted virtually. Between sessions, we will communicate regularly using Vox or email to discuss feedback or roadblocks, answer questions and celebrate.
