Meet Linda

Linda Rhyne has over 15 years in education, a Master’s in Reading, K-12 Reading Specialist licensure, Orton-Gillingham training, National Board Certification, numerous teaching awards and a passion for creating a world of successful readers. Linda is passionate about the mission of LRC because of her own story. Even with a Master's degree in Reading and certified as a Reading Specialist, she started teaching without the knowledge of the Science of Reading. Knowing what she knows now, she would have served her students differently and is passionate about helping teachers access the knowledge they need to best serve their students.

In a society that expects teachers to be perfect, educators often carry shame for what they didn't learn. It is by working within a safe and supportive environment that teachers can feel empowered to implement new practices. This is what we do at LRC - work to develop a judgment free zone to connect research to practice through strategic coaching.

OUR GOAL: Improve literacy outcomes for children.

Linda resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband, two boys, two cats and dog. In her spare time, you can find her exercising, reading and living life out loud. After supporting her son with a year of remote kindergarten, she saw first-hand the impact strong literacy instruction can have on helping a child develop into a reader. Her son went from shying away from reading BOB books to asking to read to his little brother’s class. There is power in becoming a reader and everyone deserves to feel empowered with literacy.
